Hero Effort, Real Impact: The Good People Foundation Summer Fundraising Gala

There are moments in every community when people are asked to do more than attend, observe, or offer polite support.

They are asked to step forward.

This June, the Good People Foundation will gather for a very special evening in Ouray, Colorado, at the historic Beaumont Hotel for our Summer Fundraising Gala. It will be an evening filled with connection, generosity, laughter, and purpose — but more importantly, it will be a moment for our community to rally around something much bigger than any one person, company, or event.

At the heart of the evening will be two incredible live auction opportunities, with an approximate combined value of more than $20,000. These are not just auction items. They are once-in-a-lifetime experiences designed to create memories, build excitement, and raise meaningful support for the Good People Foundation.

The featured live auction opportunities include:

A 2027 Men’s Final Four Experience in Detroit
This package includes two tickets to the semi-finals and championship games, two nights at the Marriott Ford Field, and access to one of the biggest stages in college basketball.

A Luxury U.S. Open Golf Experience at Torrey Pines
This package includes two nights of luxury accommodations, rounds of golf on Torrey Pines South Course, and an exclusive U.S. Open experience.

These two prized opportunities have been carefully coordinated through the incredible efforts of Mike Reph from Gallagher, who will also serve as our Emcee for the evening. Mike has poured heart, energy, creativity, and leadership into helping bring these auction items to life. His commitment is exactly what the Good People Foundation represents: people using their relationships, resources, and influence to make a real difference.

That is why we are proud to recognize Mike as one of our foundation heroes.

Not because he wears a cape — although the image may suggest otherwise — but because he understands what true support looks like. It looks like showing up. It looks like making calls, opening doors, coordinating details, encouraging participation, and helping create momentum for a cause that matters.

Why the Good People Foundation Matters

A strong 501(c)(3) foundation is more than a charitable arm. At its best, it becomes a trust-building platform for the community it serves. It gives people a structured, transparent, and mission-driven way to give back. It turns goodwill into action. It allows generosity to move from intention to measurable impact.

For the Good People Foundation, that impact is centered on the senior housing community.

Senior housing is filled with people who give constantly: caregivers, operators, owners, executives, vendors, families, residents, and advocates. The work is deeply human. It is also complex, demanding, and often underappreciated. A foundation creates a way for our network to come together and support the people, organizations, and communities that are doing this work every day.

The Good People Foundation exists because this community deserves more than conversation. It deserves action. It deserves support. It deserves people willing to invest in the future of senior living, not just through business relationships, but through generosity, advocacy, and shared responsibility.

Everyone Has a Role to Play

The success of a foundation is never built by one person alone. It takes a community.

It takes members who attend.
It takes partners who donate.
It takes leaders who advocate.
It takes volunteers who help.
It takes sponsors who say yes.
It takes people like Mike who step into the work and help carry it forward.

This is the heart of the Good People model. We are not simply building a network. We are building a support system. And support systems only work when people actively participate.

Every ticket purchased, every auction bid, every donation, every introduction, and every shared message helps strengthen the foundation’s ability to do meaningful work. When members lean in, the impact grows. When vendor partners and operators align around a shared mission, the senior housing community becomes stronger.

That is what this gala represents.

It is not just an elegant evening in Ouray. It is a reminder that good people can do extraordinary things when they work together.

Bid Big. Give Back. Move the Mission Forward.

The live auction will be one of the highlights of the evening, and we hope everyone comes ready to participate generously. These are premium experiences, but the purpose behind them is even greater.

When you bid, you are not only pursuing a memorable trip or exclusive experience. You are helping fuel the work of the Good People Foundation. You are helping us continue building a platform of support for the senior housing community. You are helping create opportunities for connection, service, and impact.

That is what makes this evening special.

We will celebrate.
We will laugh.
We will raise a glass.
We will honor the people doing the work.
And together, we will help move the mission forward.

To Mike Reph from Gallagher: thank you for being our Emcee, our coordinator, and a true champion for this effort. Your leadership and heart are exactly what this foundation is built on.

To every member of the Good People community: we need you. Your presence matters. Your support matters. Your participation matters.

This June, let’s show what happens when Good People come together for a great cause.

Join us. Bid big. Give generously. And help us continue our vital work for the senior housing community.
